Episode Transcript
All right, good afternoon everyone.
Good to see you back, ma'am.
Howdy?
Howdy.
All right.
We're going to say one.
I'm going to say it again because I enjoy doing it.
Good afternoon, everyone.
That just lets me know what happened.
That's great.
Last week we discussed verse 24 in the book of Genesis chapter 1.
So I will read that verse along with verse 25. where we will begin our study today in order to help keep us in context with what we have been studying.
As we look at God's Word in the book of Genesis chapter 1, verse 24 and 25, we read.
And God said, let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind.
Cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth after his kind, and it was so.
That was the verse we did last week.
Here's where we're going to start our study today: verse 25 in the book of Genesis chapter 1.
And God made the beast of the earth after his kind. and cattle after their kind, and everything that creepeth upon the earth after his kind.
And God saw that it was good.
Let's pray.
Heavenly Father, we thank you so much, Lord, for your wonderful word, Father.
Lord, I pray that you would just.
Teach us here today, Father.
Let your Spirit teach us here today, Lord.
We pray, Lord, that you will Help to remove all of the distractions, Lord, and just help us to have a wonderful time in fellowship here, Lord, in your word.
Learning your word, Father.
We thank you and we love you so much.
In Jesus' name we pray.
Amen.
Now something that just jumped out at me when I was studying this Was after God saw that after He created all of these animals, that it was what?
It was good.
Why does mankind think that we have to mess with his creation and try to make it better?
Now I'm gonna step up on the soapboxer just for a minute, but I'll get off of it this interview real quick, but something I just gotta say, like I said, this jumps right out at me.
You have people, I mean, it's already good.
God saw that it was good.
It's good.
You have people messing with the genetics of the fruit of the trees and of the genetics of puppy dogs and cats and cows and I saw somewhere that they are messing with some dinosaur DNA trying to bring back the dinosaurs.
What could go wrong there?
No God saw God saw that His creation was good from the very beginning, folks.
God has given us everything good from the very beginning of time.
It is mankind that messes it up.
And I believe if mankind would seek the Maker of heaven and earth before they mess with his creation, we would all be better off.
Now they are modifying our chicken and cow and who knows what else because it's all a trust.
Have you seen it where they're doing this in laboratories?
They're growing modified chicken and this goo they're calling food.
They're calling it chicken.
It's getting to where you don't know what you're eating.
Is this real steak or is it some lab-grown goo that they are telling me is steak?
Mankind needs to stop messing with what God says is good.
And he says, my fowl and my cow are good.
Leave my groceries alone because God says they are good and that is good enough for me.
And this And that should be good enough for science people, but they are too busy trusting in modified goo when they should be trusting in the Lord.
Psalms 34, 8.
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good.
Blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
You okay, Miss Linda?
She's heard about it.
She dropped a pillow.
I'm sorry, Miss Matthew.
My head crank.
My head cranked.
There you go, you like it?
Alright, oh taste and see that the Lord is good.
Blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Now I'm off my solar box.
I just had to get that out.
Leave my groceries alone, scientists.
God says it's good.
It's good.
That's good enough for me.
Well, I've seen dinosaurs arriving on the bus on that.
Now last week we learned that the three words after his kind After his time means species.
We read in verse 25 of Genesis chapter 1, Genesis 125, and God made the beast of the earth after his time. and cattle after their kind, and everything that creepeth upon the earth after his kind.
And God saw that it was good.
So God created all of these animals and last week we discussed the beasts and the cattle and the creeping things and discussed where all those were.
So God created all of these animals after their kind or according to their species from the earth and God saw that it was good.
So far in our study of the creation of the world, has anybody read where God created something that he saw as bad?
And God saw that it was good.
I haven't seen nowhere yet in our study that God saw that it was bad.
I have not read anywhere yet that God created something that He foresees would be bad so far in our study here in the book of Genesis.
What is the opposite of good?
Bad.
Very good, everybody.
Bad.
In the beginning, God created everything good because that was the way it was supposed to be, folks.
Can you imagine?
I want you to imagine here just for a minute.
Can you imagine living in a place where everything is good and no bad can be found?
There is a place.
This special place is only found in the house of our Lord folks.
Psalms 23, 6.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Thank you.
In the beginning, God created all things good because He wanted good for His next creation.
As we read verse 26.
In Genesis chapter 1, which says, and God said, chapter 1, verse 26 in the book of Genesis.
And God said, Let us make man in our image. after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea. and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Does anyone remember what day of creation we are on here in verse 6?
See?
Very good.
We are now in day 6 of God creating the earth.
When you are reading God's Word and you come across the number six, you can sometimes associate this number with mankind.
Revelation 13:18 says, Here is wisdom.
We all want wisdom.
Or we wouldn't be in this room listening to God's word.
We all want wisdom.
Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man.
And his number is 600 34 and 6.
That's three sixes.
Three sixes.
Back in verse 26.
So back up right quick before going further.
If you're reading in God's word.
And you come across, and in the sixth day, or sixth of this, or sixth of that, if you relate that to a little bit higher spiritual level, think of mankind.
And that will help you a whole lot, especially when you get, like, right now at our church, we're in the book of Daniel, which is a lot of prophecy.
And the number six is in there.
And in Revelation, the number six there, we just read that, the sign of the beast.
Mankind, the number of man.
Number six.
So just associate number six.
Man was created on day six of God's creation.
So you can associate that sometimes with mankind.
Back in verse 26 of Genesis, God says, Let us make man in our image after our likeness.
Now when you read this, what words jump out at you?
When I read it, the word us and our jump out at me God says, let us make man in our image after our likeness.
If you have anybody ever wanting to argue with you about the Trinity, oh, that's not in God's word.
Take them right here to this verse, folks.
Let us and our. .
That's more important.
The word us is what we call an object pronoun.
You use this when the group, including the speaker, receives the action of a verb or follows a preposition.
I found this very interesting.
God says, let us make us.
So we have a speaker and a group.
The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
There's your speaker and your group, folks.
Speaker and group, right there, folks.
What is God making?
God says, man in our image, after our likeness.
The word our, O you are.
What is called a possessive determiner or an adjective?
You use this word right before a noun to show that something belongs to the group.
Man belongs to God, folks.
Mankind belongs to God.
We were created by God from the earth, just like the beast, cattle, and everything that creepeth upon the earth.
Ecclesiastes 3. 17, and I've got a few young market in the break.
Ecclesiastes 3. 17, if you want to read along with me, Ecclesiastes 3. 17 through 320.
This is Solomon speaking through God.
God is breathing into Solomon what to say.
I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked, for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.
I said in my heart concerning the state of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.
Without Jesus Christ, folks, you are simply God's creation.
You are an animated being walking around without the Holy Spirit.
You are no better than a beast.
For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts.
Same thing.
Even one thing befalleth them.
What do we have in common with beasts?
As the one dieth, so dieth the other.
Yea, they have all one breath.
God gave us all breath.
So that a man hath no preeminence above a beast, for all is vanity.
All go unto one place.
All are of the dust.
And all turn to dust again.
So created man in his image after his likeness.
These three words back in Genesis.
In our image comes from a Hebrew word that means to shade.
And the three words after our likeness come from a Hebrew word that means resemblance.
Not exactly the same, but resemblance.
Have you ever been walking somewhere and glance and see your shadow?
Or maybe you see someone else's shadow.
Have you ever seen a shadow?
Now that shadow It does not have your eyes, does it?
Or your exact features that you have, does it?
But it's your resemblance.
Or it's whoever's shadow you're seeing up instead of resemblance.
Can you see your heart in that shadow?
No.
Can you see any of your innards at all in that shadow?
Hopefully not, because that would probably be a bad sign if you could.
Your shadow is made in your likeness after your image.
And we are created after God's image, after his likeness.
Like God, we all have a spirit, but God has the Holy Spirit.
John 4:24 says, God is a spirit, and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth.
That's right.
God has given us a body to house our spirit that God has given us while we sojourn here on this earth.
We have a spirit which God created in His image.
And when we look at our shadow, we can't see our spirit.
But we can see our shadow.
After God created man, He gave mankind a very important gift.
Other than Jesus.
But here's what we're reading in our text.
As we look back at our text here in verse 24 of Genesis, God says, Let them, speaking of mankind, have dominion.
Over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Now a very important word here is dominion.
The word dominion used here is translated From the Hebrew word raw no and means to subjugate.
Subjugate.
My old dictionary says this means to subdue and bring under the yoke by superior force.
To conquer or compel to submit to the government or authority of another, to reduce to subjection.
God bless mankind with dominion over all these earthly creatures.
And when we read in God's word, we see in different places where mankind has subjected themselves to the false worship of the things that God has placed man over.
I remember reading in the book, I believe it was Exodus, when Moses went up to the mountain.
Aaron, the priest, and all the people around, Aaron told them to get all the gold together, and they made a golden calf.
And the people worshiped this golden calf.
God meant for the people to be over the cattle.
And these people made an idol and submitted themselves.
They let the cow, this false idol, have dominion over them.
Ridiculous.
But that's what happened.
And people do that all throughout the Bible.
You can see where they did that.
A lot of places in there you can read on that.
Mankind disregards what God says and places themselves under the things that God says we are supposed to be over.
God has dominion over us and all the things He created, and He will have dominion forever.
Let's read verse 27 as we start to close for the day.
Genesis 1. 27 says, So God created man in his own image.
In the image of God created he him.
Male and female created he them.
I want you to notice something here, real quick, as we start to close.
Now, this is a very delicate subject.
And I want to try to be as nice as I possibly can here.
So please hear me out before you get mad.
Please.
So God created man in his own image.
In the image of God created he him.
Male and female created he them.
God is not confused one bit here when our scripture says male and female created he them.
God knows exactly who is a male and who is a female.
It is mankind under the influence of the devil that creates the confusion in this world today over who is a male and a female.
You may be a man thinking you're supposed to be a woman, or vice versa.
But God did not create you to be something you're not supposed to be.
And if you were created to be a man, then be a man.
And if you were created to be a woman, then be a woman and glorify God as the person you were created to be.
You were created as an individual in the image and likeness of God just the way God wanted you to be created.
God has a plan for you just the way you were created, and He would not have created you the way He did if He did not.
Amen.
Jeremiah 29, 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil.
To give you an expected end.
Some versions of the Bible say, For I know the plans that I think towards you.
God wanted you to be something.
He made you the way you are for a purpose.
For God's purpose.
Seek God created you for a purpose.
Don't try to change that purpose.
You will never be happy deep inside, running from the purpose that God created you for.
I can stand here and tell you that for a fact.
For years of my life, I ran, and you can ask the camera lady, I ran from God and I was never happy.
I tried to cover it up with so many things.
But I tell you what, once I put my faith in Jesus Christ, changed my life.
I'm one of the most happiest men you ever want to meet.
There's no joy like salvation joy, and I'll say that for every day of my life as long as I live.
God willing.
There is no joy like salvation joy.
Camera Lady or Tess and she'll tell you I'm not the same man.
My mom and dad will tell you, I'm not the same man.
I put my faith in Jesus Christ.
He's changed the way I talk.
He's changed the way I think, and he's changed the way I've acted.
Amen.
Don't let the devil confuse you on what gender you're supposed to be, folks.
Please seek the purpose of God for your life and you will find it if you seek God And you can do that by accepting his son's death on the cross for your sins as payment and full.
Amen.
If that old devil has you confused about your gender.
I implore you to see God before you do anything that you might regret for the rest of your life.
There is no sin that cannot be forgiven, folks.
No.
I have made so many mistakes in my life.
So many.
And I praise God that changing my gender wasn't one of them.
But if you had, you can still be forgiven.
God made you the way you're made because he has a purpose for your life.
God loves you and he only wants the best for you.
Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.
Please seek God before you make a harsh decision.
And I pray for the people who enable young children to do this.
I pray that the Lord will stop them.
They're too young to make decisions and they have parents.
Just pushing them into it.
They're watching the world just pushing them into it.
They're being influenced by the world.
If they would seek God and let God influence them, I can promise you God's not going to tell them to do that.
Seek ye first the kingdom of God.
Now I try to talk on that as easy and as loving as I can.
And I pray, Lord, if there's anybody thinking about doing that, that they would get some help and get counseling.
Seek God.
Open this up if you have never opened this before in your life and there's people that come that haven't.
We've come a long way, haven't we, Group?
You know why?
Because we open this up.
Amen.
Every Sunday we try to open this up here.
And I pray that people who've never opened it will open it and seek God's counsel.
Seek God's faith.
And I'm telling you, it'll change your life.
Believe me, please, before it's too late.
Heavenly Father, thank you, God, for each and every person that come to hear your word, Father.
And Lord, we pray for those who don't know you, Father.
We pray that they will see your face, Lord.
And we pray, Lord, that they will.
Come to you and see the cross and see Jesus die for their sins, Father.
Show Christ.
Draw them to the cross, Lord.
We pray that they'll heed that draw.
Lord, we pray for each and every person that is our leaders, Father.
We pray for them, and we pray, Lord, that they will just seek your wisdom, Lord.
We pray for Israel, Lord.
We want to pray for the apple of your eye, Lord.
And we pray, Lord, that they will turn to you, Lord, as we know this world is getting closer to coming to an end, Father.
We see all the wars going on, Lord, and the earthquakes and the tidal waves, and we see the earth just starting to fall apart, Father.
I pray, Lord, that people would see that, that don't know Christ, and that they would turn to Jesus, Lord, and turn to you, Father.
Before it's too late.
We know, Lord, Jesus is coming back, Lord.
And we don't want people to have to run to the mountains and. .
Cry for the rocks to fall off the high, Lord.
We want people to be ready to meet Jesus, Father.
And Lord, we just pray, Father, that you would draw them to the cross and show them Christ.
We thank you, Lord, for this lesson that you blessed us with, Lord, and we thank you for those who are so faithful to come every Sunday, Lord, and hear your word, Father.
We pray, Lord, that the saints were edified here by your word, Lord, and that the lost were born into Christ, Father.
We thank you and we love you.
We want to pray for the caregivers that are here, Father, that they'll take care of these people, Lord, the way you want them to be.
Taken care of, Lord.
We pray for your perfect healing to be done in each and every person here according to your will, Father.
We thank you and we love you so much, Lord.
Thank you for your word.
Thank you for Jesus.
Thank you for your Holy Spirit, Father.
In Jesus' name we pray, Lord, today, amen.
