Alright, good afternoon everyone.
Good afternoon.
We've been going through the book of Genesis.
We've been going through the book of Genesis as we go verse by verse, word by word, and last week we stopped at verse 19. in chapter one completing day four of God creating the world.

Hi.
Today we will pick up in verse 20 of chapter 1 in the book of Genesis.
And God willing, we will learn what God created on day five when he was carrying out his will on when and how everything should be made.
Now on a side note, don't think for one moment that has changed.
God is still in control of when and how things are made.
Isaiah 46, 9 and 10 says, Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is none else.
I am God and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning.
And from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all of my pleasure.
God is in control, folks.
Don't ever forget that.
And that is something I remind myself a lot throughout the day.
In control, God is in control, and He always will be.
And as we look at Genesis chapter 1, verses 20 and 21, we read.
And God said, let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven And God created wells and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly.
After their kind, and every wing fell after his kind.
And God saw that it was good.
Let's pray.
Heavenly Father, thank you so much, Lord, for your precious and wonderful word, Father, that you blessed us with, Lord.
Father, I pray, Lord, that you would just teach here today, Lord.
Let your Spirit teach us, Father.
We're so thankful for each and every person that's come, Lord, to hear your word, Father.
And I pray, Lord, that you would just bless each and every one of us with understanding here today, Lord.
I pray that you are glorified here today, Lord.
The saints are edified, and that the lost are pointed to Jesus.
Jesus.
In His name we pray, Lord.
Amen.
And God said, let the waters, no, it's important.
God said, let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creatures that have life.
Folks, it doesn't say let the waters bring forth mankind, does it?
How has somebody come up with that idea that All of a sudden these little amoebas crawled up on the earth and they turned into this animal and that animal turned into this animal and then they became monkeys and then the monkeys became us.
Where that came from, that is a lie of the devil, folks.
That is not what the scripture says.
It does not say that.
And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life.
That is not mankind.
Mankind is created a little bit later on.
God will see that.
If we were to remove the L-Y from the word abundantly, what do we have?
Abundant.
Abundant.
This means plentiful in great quantity.
Fully sufficient.
So God said let the waters bring forth abundantly or you could say a great quantity Of the moving creature that hath life.
The three words: the moving creature. is the English translation of the Hebrew word Sharetz, Sharetz, which means a swarm.
And it can also mean creeping thing.
When I looked up the definition for creeping in my old Webster's dictionary.
I was informed that it meant the act of crawling.
The act of crawling.
It doesn't mean when you look through the window there's somebody peeping in.
That's not what it means.
It means the act of crawling.
When I looked up the word swarm, I read, among other things, a large number or body of small animals or insects.
Particularly when in motion.
If you were to hit a hornet's nest What do you call all those hornets that come out of that nest?
It's a swarm, isn't it?
It is a swarm.
A swarm because it's a large number of ornates coming out and probably chasing the person that hit the nest.
So, that is a swarm, a large number or body of small animals or insects, particularly when in motion.
Now something that jumped out at me when I read this was the wording that God uses in our next set of words and that is that hath life That hath life.
We started out our study in Genesis in the very first chapter, in the very first verse.
And as I went back and read those verses again.
I did not see anywhere at any time where anything had been created where God has used these words, that hath life.
If we were to go back and read the verses closest to it that I could see, verses 11 and 12 of the same chapter, We would read in Genesis 1, 11, and 12, and God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind. whose seed is in itself upon the earth.
And it was so, and the earth brought forth grass, and herb-yielding seed, after his kind, and the tree-yielding fruit Whose seed was in itself after his kind, and God saw that it was good.
Now, if we were to look at a fruit tree.
With all the branches broken and no leaves on it, and it was nothing more than a rotting stump on the ground, I would be thinking that tree was dead with you now.
Now something can't die unless it had life to begin with.
If it had not life to begin with, it can't die.
If we were to look at that same tree and see that it had beautiful leaves on it and masses of fruit and all its branches were healthy looking, we would be thinking that tree was alive, wouldn't we?
So when God created all these things, we read about in verses 11 and 12 the grass and the herb yielding seed and all that.
Why not say that hath life with them as well?
That was something that jumped out at me.
This is one of the reasons why it is so important to check the meanings of the original text that our Bibles are translated from.
The book of Genesis is translated from the Hebrew word, Hebrew vermature, for lack of a better word.
When I was a very young man sitting in the back of a car that my mom was driving, and I asked her what some word meant That I did not know the meaning to.
I will never forget what she told me as long as the Lord gives me the clarity of mind to remember.
You know what mama told me when I asked her what some kind what word some word meant?
She told me to look it up.
She said, look it up.
And I would have never thought this, I don't know how old I was, eight years old maybe.
Nine years old.
I would have never thought in a million years that I would be looking up so many different definitions and meanings of words in my lifetime.
But here we are.
I hook up more definitions in more words than I would have ever imagined.
If you would have told me 20 years ago that I would be standing here sharing God's word with you.
I never would have thought.
But here we are.
Here I am looking up words and I'm sharing the meanings of the words with you.
Here I am reading God's Word, and I'm sharing that with you.
God has a plan for each and every one of us, just like He had a plan for each and every day that He was creating this world.
This earth.
He hasn't flooded.
The three words that hath life. comes from two different Hebrew words that are derived from a few different Hebrew words.
But for time's sake, we're going with the two final meanings.
Once you start looking up the words and the definitions, it will show you where that came from.
And then it shows you where that word came from.
And it can go a long, long way back.
So we're just going to go with the last definition of the word for time set.
Okay, one, when we look up that hath life, these three words come from two different Hebrew words.
One meaning is alive.
Alive, one of the Hebrew words.
That the words that hath life come from means alive.
We know the fruit tree that we discussed is either alive or dead by looking at it.
The same can be applied to the moving creature that hath life.
We can look at them and know whether they are alive or dead.
I must have not wrote down the other word.
Yeah, here he's good.
We can look at them and know whether they are alive or dead.
If you are not for sure, just go and swat at a bee that is sitting still and you will know real quick if it is alive or dead if you miss.
Now the other meaning of our Hebrew word is a breathing creature in the form of an animal.
That is why the fruit tree-bearing fruit, the grass, and the herb-bearing herb did not say that hath life with it.
Because it is not an animal.
When you put these two words together, you get a breathing creature in the form of an animal that is alive.
So our words, that hath life, refer to the animals that are alive and not fruit trees, even though the fruit tree may or may not be alive.
Our text here is referring to the animals that have life that God created from the waters.
Back in our verses in Genesis chapter 1.
And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life.
Let the waters Bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life and fowl That they fly above the earth in the open firmament of the heaven.
And God created great wells. and every living creature that moveth which the waters brought forth abundantly Are y'all catching that?
The waters brought forth abundantly after their kind and every wing fell after his kind.
God saw that it was good.
You may be saying to yourself, I can see the whales and fishes and things that are supposed to be in the water being created by the water.
But every living creature that moves, and every winged fowl after his kind?
Oh, this is getting difficult with you.
Psalms 104, 24, 25 says, Oh Lord, how manifold are thy works?
In wisdom hast thou made them all.
The earth is full of thy riches.
So is this great and wide sea. wherein all things creeping innumerable, both small and great, feast.
Jumping out a little bit ahead.
We read in Genesis chapter 2, verse 19.
And out of the ground The Lord God formed every beast of the field and every fowl of the air.
And brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them.
And whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
You may be thinking.
That we just read in back in Genesis 1:20 through 21.
And God said, let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life. and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
And God created great wells and every living creature that moveth which the waters brought forth abundantly after their kind, and every wing fell after his kind.
And God saw that it was good.
Now, no matter what, God's word does not contradict itself.
God's word will never contradict itself.
We may read a verse of scripture that we interpret one way and then read another verse of scripture that shows us our interpretation is wrong.
But God's word never contradicts itself.
You might be asking how God's word says in verse 219.
That out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every fowl of the air.
And then in verse 20 and 21 of Genesis in chapter 1, we read that they came from the water.
How is that possible, Brother Doug?
Ask yourself.
Ask yourself, what is that water sitting on?
Ground.
That water sitting on the ground, ain't it?
That water's sitting on the ground.
Those fowls came out of the ground just like God said.
Just because that ground's underneath the water doesn't stop God.
God can do anything.
If He wants to bring fowls up out of that ground underneath the water, He can.
And that's what he did, folks.
The water is sitting on the ground, folks.
The water is sitting on the ground.
I thought that was just wonderful.
At the end of our verse in Genesis chapter 1, verse 21, God saw that it was good.
And in verse 22 we read in Genesis 1, 22, and God blessed them, saying, be fruitful and multiply.
And fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
God saw that it was good and blessed them.
God is a God of goodness.
Psalms thirty-three four.
39.
For the word of the Lord is right, and all his works are done in truth.
By the word of the Lord were the heavens made, and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap.
He layeth up the death in storehouses.
Let all the earth fear the Lord.
Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
For he spake, and it was done.
He commanded and it stood fast.
God blessed them by giving them the ability to be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters and the seas and let fowls Multiply in the earth.
These blessings given to these creatures not only bless them, but mankind as well by giving us food in order to live.
This shows us, folks.
That the blessings that are bestowed upon us are sometimes not only meant for us alone, but to help others out as well.
Without God blessing these creatures, our food supply would be very limited.
When the children of Israel were going through the wilderness and started complaining about not having any meat to eat, do you remember what God gave them to eat for meat?
And what else?
Quail.
Quail.
What is quail?
Looks good.
It's a wing.
It's a wing for yeah, it sure it is.
We'll get to the recipe later.
Anyway, well, very good.
Now as we start to close, verse 23 says. .
1. 23 in Genesis.
And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
God willing, when we get to meet together again next Sunday, we will get to start on day six of God's creation.
And I hope to see each and every one of you back here again and share in God's word together.
Now I can't help but think.
That God is giving us the countdown on the days of whatever thing was created for a purpose.
There is a countdown of days, folks.
Remember that.
If you don't know Jesus Christ as your Savior, there is a countdown of days.
And we don't never know.
And that last 12 years, folks, think about that.
If you don't know Jesus as your Savior, if you do know Jesus as your Savior, rejoice.
Man.
Rejoice.
And when that last day comes for us, we'll be with the Lord.
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
That's something you can take hope for.
Heavenly Father, we thank you so much, Lord, for each and every person who has come here today, Lord, to hear your words, Father.
I pray that you were glorified here today, Lord, and that the saints were edified, and that the laws were appointed to Jesus.
Father, thank you for this wonderful lesson that you've less this way, Lord.
Lord, we just want to thank you so much for each and every person that comes.
Look at the camera lady coming, Lord, and thank you for Brother Babylon and Brother Larry, Lord.
We want to pray for Brother Larry and his family, Lord, and serve health issues.
Lord, pray that your will be done in their lives as well as in each and every person that's here today, Lord, and each and every person that tunes in on the internet to welcome.
Father, we pray that your perfect will be done in our lives.
Help us to stay in the path that you want us to be on, Lord.
We want to pray for the care of you as hell here, Father, and pray, Lord, that you'll just work through them, Lord, and show the people here your kindness and your mercy.
Father.
Help them to care for these folks, Lord, the way you want them to be cared for.
We thank you and we love you so much, Father.
Thank you for Jesus.
Thank you for your precious word, Lord.
Thank you so much, Lord, for your holy spirit, Lord.
