Alright, good afternoon everyone. Good afternoon brother Day. We have been going through the book of Genesis verse by verse. And we have made our way to the beginning of the fourth day as we have been learning about God creating the heavens and the earth. And that brings us to verse 14. In chapter 1 of the book of Genesis, which says, And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven. To divide the day from the night, and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, we thank you so much, Lord, for each and every person who has come, Lord, to hear your word, Father. And I pray, Lord, that each and every one of them will be taught here today, Lord. Just teach us today, Father. I pray that each and every ear will be attentive to what you have to say here today, Lord. We thank you and love you so much, Lord. Just teach us now, Father. And in Jesus' name we pray, Lord, amen. Okay, so far in our study, In the book of Genesis, we have read this phrase, and God said four other times, if my math is correct. This is the fifth time we have read and God said and God willing We'll be reading the phrase, and God said several other times as we make our way verse by verse through the book of Genesis. Now I say that in order to say this. Don't let the devil talk you into not believing what God has said is true. If you think back, well, we haven't got to it yet, but we've covered it before in other scripture. When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden. They listened to what the devil said over what God had said. Don't let the devil trick you into believing something that he's saying over what God has said. So God has said that this is the way that the heavens and the earth were created and that should settle any kind of disbelief You have about not only how the heavens and the earth were created, but about anything else. that the devil or any of his soldiers may say to get you to doubt what God says is true. The big bang is a big lie. And I can't take credit for that. My pastor said that. We are reading about the truth here in Genesis. Of how God created the heavens and the earth. And anything contrary to what God says is a lie. Any other way than believing that Christ died for your sins in order that you may be forgiven by the same God who created the heavens and the earth and gave you life. In order that you may experience his creation is alike. Anything other than Jesus Christ dying on the cross years ago. In John chapter 14, verses 1 through 6, Jesus says, Let not your heart be troubled. Ye believe in God. Believe also in me. Why? Because Jesus is God in the flesh. In my father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. If you believe God has made the heavens and the earth for us, Then you know that he has the ability and the power to prepare a new place for us. And it is going to be even better than this place because our new home will be sin-free. Unlike this sin-filled world that has been corrupted by mankind. He goes on in the book of John 14:3 and says, And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself. That where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go, ye know, and the way ye know. Do you know the way, dear friend? If not, you are not alone. God wants you to know, and if you want to know, I can promise you, He will show you. Jesus said in the book of Luke chapter 11 verses 9 through 10 I say unto you ask And it shall be given you. Seek, and ye shall find. Knock and it shall be opened unto you for everyone, no matter how big a sinner you think you are. God's word says, for everyone that asketh receiveth. And he that seeketh findeth, and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. That is everyone, and that is a promise from God. The creator of the heavens and the earth. And that is exactly What a man named Thomas, who was created by God just like you and I were. That is what he did. He asked God in the flesh, named Jesus, the same God who created the heavens and the earth. He asked him the way. Back in the book of John chapter 14 and verse 5, Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest. And how can we know the way? Folks, if you're here today and you want to know the way. Jesus saith unto him, Jesus is God in the flesh. So you could say, And God said, remember that's what we're looking at. And God said. I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the Father. How? That's it. But by me, there's your way, folks. There's your way. If there was any other way to be saved, don't you think that a caring and loving God who only wants you to be free from your sin burden would tell you? If there was any other way, wouldn't God tell you? Yes, he would. No other way. Jesus was the way. Truth and the life. Don't listen to the lies of the devil who only wants to keep you under your sin burden. When the devil was trying to get Jesus to sin after Jesus had been fasting for 40 days and 40 nights We read about what Jesus told that old tempor in the book of Matthew chapter 4, verses 1 through 4. Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit unto the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward and hungry. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, This is Jesus talking. This is Jesus talking. God in the flesh. It is written. Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. And God said, Do you want to know that you have eternal life with our Lord after your spirit leaves your fleshly body? Believe in what God says in John chapter 3 verses 16 through 18. If you know it, say it with me. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever Believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Do you believe that, church? For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. This is my one of my favorite verses in the Bible. He that believeth on him is not condemned. Plain, simple. A child can understand that. He that believeth on him is not condemned. But he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. The name of the only begotten Son of God is Jesus in our English translation. He was born of a virgin mother. By the conception of God's Holy Spirit, Jesus lived his life here in this sin-filled earth without ever sinning any. Yesterday, at our church, we had a gathering for Brother Larry. Y'all know Brother Larry, the one that leads her songs here. Unless he's not here, then Brother Ray is there, son. Yesterday at our church, we had a gathering for Brother Larry and his wife, Sherry. Y'all know Sherry. They had a 50th wedding anniversary yesterday. Yes. Where we shared fellowship and we shared a wonderful meal together. I was blessed to not only sit beside the camera lady, my wife, she allowed me to sit beside her. I was blessed to not only sit beside my wife, the camera lady, who I hope she and I get to celebrate our 50th as well someday. But I was blessed to sit next to a fellow believer in the same fellow believer in the same sinless Jesus. He believed the same way. He believed that Jesus died for our sins, as I believe the same. His name is Mike. And we had a great time talking about our Savior, and something Mike was in agreement with me. Something he said that we were in the same agreement of. Was that we are sinners. We are all sinners. And Jesus is not. If you want to be in agreement with our God, the Creator of heaven and earth, then you must come to the realization that you are a sinner. Romans 3. 23 says, For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, we are all sinners. Amen. God knows that we are all sinners and God tells us that. Now the question is: do you believe him? I believe him. I know him. I know I'm a sinner. Mike believed him. Mike knew he was a sinner. Some of y'all are agreeing. You know that you're a sinner. Whether or not you believe him, and some people never will believe the Lord. But for those who have ears to hear, God has made a way for you to be forgiven of your sin. And his way is through the gospel of Jesus Christ. We're going to close today with 1 Corinthians chapter 15 and we're going to read verses 1 through 4. I've got you marked there, Ms. Works. Got you marked to? Right here. Amen. Chapter 15, we're going to start reading in verse 1. You got it. Now folks, I was just asked a question a while ago. Where does it say in God's Word where Jesus was on the cross? There's another place as well, and I'll show you in a little bit this way. But right now, what we're going to read is the gospel. Jesus Christ. Written. It's all throughout the book, all throughout God's Word. If you look for it, you can find it. Once you grasp it in your mind and God opens your eyes to the gospel of Jesus Christ, you'll start seeing it in a lot of other places. Right here it is, clear as day. If you don't know Jesus Christ as your Savior here today, folks, please look for the death of Jesus Christ. For your sins, through this word, we're going to read right here. I hope this points you to the death of Jesus Christ for your sins. This is the gospel of Jesus Christ, right here, folks. 1 Corinthians 15, 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the what? Gospel. I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you. Which also ye have received the Corinthians the ones that Paul preached they believed And wherein ye stand, once you believe the gospel of Jesus Christ, you're going to stand on that when you go to your judgment. I believe Jesus died for my sins. Amen. Your name's in the book of life. Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Enter in at the joy of the Lord. Woo! That's the gospel. By which also ye are what? Saved. Saved. Don't you want to be saved? Gospel of Jesus Christ. If ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received. When you receive the gospel of Jesus Christ, folks, you can start telling others, Jesus Christ died for your sins. Once you believe on Jesus Christ, you can't help but tell others. Now, ain't everybody going to believe you. Some people are going to shun you. I've been talking to people before and they ask me what happened and I tell them that Jesus Christ died for my sins. They'll turn around and walk away from me. They don't want to hear all that. To some people, the preaching of the cross is foolishness. To them that do not believe it. I've got that verse written down here. Paul says, For I have delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died. For our sins according to the scriptures How did he die this work On the cross. That's right. He died on that cross. He gave up the ghost. He said it is finished. And he gave up the ghost. According to the scriptures, and that he was buried. And that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. What are the scriptures, folks? And God said the scriptures, and God said. This is all the word of God. This is the scriptures. This is and God said right here. Every bit of it and God said. For all scripture is given by the inspiration of God. I believe that's 2 Timothy 3. 16 or 1 Timothy 3. 16. I can't remember, but all scripture is given by the inspiration of God and God's Savior. Paul asks in the second part of Galatians chapter 5 verse 7 For those of you that do not believe, Paul asks, who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? The word obey is translated from the Greek word pithos or pitho. And one of the meanings of the word obey can mean believe. Who did hinder you that ye should not believe the truth? The truth is Jesus Christ died for your sins on the cross. Upon his death, he was taken down from that cross. He was put in a tomb where he laid for three days. And on that third day he rose, overcoming death. And for each and every person that believes that Jesus Christ died for their sins, guess what? When you die folks, God is going to raise you up again, just like he did Jesus Christ for everyone that believes. Praise God. Praise God. Who did hinder you that ye should not believe the truth? Verse 8 of that same chapter in Galatians says, This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you. God is the one that calls you, folks. This persuasion of unbelief does not come from God. God wants you to be saved, dear friend. The devil does not. The devil does not want you to believe that Christ died on the cross for your sins. and that through belief you are forgiven but first corinthians one eighteen says for the preaching of the cross Is to them that perish foolishness. But unto us which are saved, it is the power of God. If you still are unsaved, dear friend, who did hinder you? Which means beat back. Who stopped you from believing the truth? Who did hinder you that ye should not believe the truth? Yourself. You have nobody to blame but yourself, folks. If you do not believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and you want to, You can if you don't want to, you never will. And you will perish. And you will be sent to a lake of fire for eternity. Forever. Separated from another chance. To choose. It's your choice, folks. I pray that each and every one of you here today are saved and that you know Jesus Christ is your Savior. But if you're not saved and you want to know Jesus as you're saved, you can. Who doth hinder you that you should not? Obey the truth. Heavenly Father, we thank you so much, Lord, for each and every person that's come to hear your word taught today, Lord. I pray, Lord, that this message will. Just prick the heart of the unbelievers, Lord, and that they would turn and seek your face, Father, as fast as they possibly could, Lord. We know, Lord, that you are in chun. You are in charge, Lord, of life and death, Father. Just like you told the man who wanted to build bigger barns this night, your soul is required of thee. Lord, I pray, Lord, that each and every person here knows Christ as their Savior Savior. I pray, Lord, that those that watch know Christ as their Savior, Father. But I pray, Lord, if they don't, that you know. Would draw them to the cross and show them Christ. I pray, Lord, that they would heed that draw, Father, and that they would come to the cross and seek Jesus, Lord. Father, we just thank you for each and everything that you do. Lord, for all you do is good, Lord. We thank you for your goodness. We thank you for your mercy. We thank you for your grace. And we thank you for the one who took our place, Lord. For by grace are we saved through faith, Father, and that not of ourselves. Not by works, Lord, lest any man should boast. But it is your gift, Father. Your gift of eternal life through faith in Christ, Father. Lord, we thank you and love you so much, Lord. Thank you for Brother Ray standing in to bleed sing, Father. I want to pray for Brother Larry and his family, Lord, for their health issues. Pray your will be done there, Lord, and everything. Very situations, Lord. Thank you for the camera lady coming and helping us, Father. Father, we just pray, Lord, for the caregivers that are here, Lord, that they'll take care of these people the way you want them to be taken care of, Father. We pray your perfect will be done in each and every one of our lives here today, Lord, and for those who watch as well, Father. Lord, it's just such a blessing to come and share your word, Father. And I pray, Lord, that the saints were edified here today, Lord, and that the lost were pointed to you. Thank you, Father, and in Jesus' name today, Lord, we want to pray, Lord. Amen.
