Alright, good afternoon everybody. Let me turn this noise micro off. Look at that. I'm gonna look it anyway. Don't forget. Please mail. Oh, that's a lot better. Alright, let's try this again. Good afternoon, everybody. Good afternoon. Alright, today we're going to be in the book of Genesis as we have been for the last couple Sundays. And we're going to be going verse by verse, God willing Alright, we'll be in verse 5 today in the book of Genesis 1-5. And it says, and God called the light day. And the darkness he called night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you, God, so much, Lord, for another chance for us to come together, Father. And Lord, we thank you so much for each and every person who's come to hear your word, Father. We pray, Lord, that you'll just. Teach us here today, Father. Just teach us, Lord. Let your word go forth here, Lord, and that the ears be open and the minds concentrated and focused on you, Lord. We pray, Lord, that you'll just Remove the distractions, Lord. And let us have a wonderful fellowship here today, Lord, in your word, Lord. Lord, I want to thank you so much for this lesson that you blessed us with, Lord. And we pray, Lord, that people are just. Pointed to Jesus, Lord, and that you're glorified through this, Lord. Thank you, Lord, for all that you do. Lord, for all you do is good, Father. In Jesus' name Lord, we pray. Amen. Amen. Alright. Now something we don't want to overlook before we move on is that we learn from God's Word Back in verse 3 that God speaks. God speaks. Verse 3 of Genesis says And God said, Let there be light, and there was light. So we learn that God speaks. Now, last week we learned that God also sees. God also sees Verse 4 in Genesis says, And God saw the light, that it was good, and God divided the light from the darkness. Now we know through God's word that He sees as well. God is omnipresent. Which means being present in all places at the same time. Only our God With a capital G can do that, folks. God being omniscient sees everything that is happening here in this world. And please don't ever think that you're getting away with something, and no one sees what you are doing. At my job, I tell the gentleman that I am blessed to get to work with, that they need to follow the rules Not only to stay safe, but they have eyes watching them. And some of those eyes Have the power to pull out a pen and write something down that may not be favorable to their year-end review. And that will more than likely affect their race for the following year. Now those eyes are limited to our job site. Those eyes do not come home with you after you work or go shopping with you Unless you happen to be married to your boss, and there are probably other loopholes there somewhere, if we really wanted to dig. But the point I want to make is that those eyes are limited to your job. Those eyes can only see and record what you do at your work because those eyes are limited. by having to be present before you at work in order to see what you were doing. Sometimes at work I will pick up trash that is just laying around our area or someone else's area. That others just walk around. I will pick up that trash when people are watching and when people are not watching them. Not because others are watching me, although that is important for a leader to do. I pick it up because I realize and I know that God is watching me and it is important to me To do what is right in the eyes of our God. Even if no one else is watching me, God sees and that is what is important to me. Have you ever heard that old saying? I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my eyes. So you have heard that Nowadays we have artificial intelligence, which is called AI for short. Which can make it show you said something or you did something that you didn't. My daddy used to tell me Not to believe anything I heard and only half of what I see. That advice is proven to be more true each and every day. That hat that you see needs to include God's word, folks. Read your Bibles, please. It's going to be so important, not only for today, but for the days to come. You need to read your Bibles As this world spirals faster and faster towards the end of its life, we need to make sure that we understand that God sees us. You need to realize that, folks. God sees you. He knows everything. And for an added bonus for today, that word is omniscient. God is omniscient. He knows everything. God has seen everything we have ever done. And he knows everything we have ever done. Job 31, 4 Doth not he see my ways and count all my steps? If I have walked with vanity, or if my foot hath hasted to deceit, let me be weighed in an even balance that God may know my integrity. The word integrity used here means innocence. He says, let me be weighed in an even balance. Have you ever seen them old-timey scales? That show weight. One side's heavier than the other. One side needs to be even. When they're even with each other, that means they're equal, correct? Okay. God divided the light from the dark. The righteous from the unrighteous To make the righteous righteous, you must have righteous on both sides, correct? If you're gonna make it righteous Folks, you put you on one side. God's laws on the other side. God's laws outweigh your righteousness. The only way that you're going to make it righteous and righteous is if you put Jesus on the side of God's laws. You take your life And you put Jesus on those scales. You put your faith in Jesus Christ. And your righteousness is going to be Jesus Christ, which is equal. With what God requires for you to be saved. That balances out the scales. You can't. He can Put Jesus on them scales. Take yourself off of them. Put Christ on there. So we have learned that God speaks and God sees, and now as we look at verse 5, we learn that God calls. Look at verse 5 in the book of Genesis, chapter 1. Verse 5 in the book of Genesis, chapter 1. And God called. God called. The word call used here is translated from the Hebrew word ka-roth. Call wrong. And gives us the idea of to call out to. To call out to. God has blessed us with the very same ability. God called out. God has blessed you with the same ability to call out. Have you ever called out to the Lord? If you haven't, dear friend, you are gambling in a very dangerous game that could end at any moment. Have you ever thought about that? Have you ever thought about it? I have. You need to be saved, and the only one who can save you is the one who gave you the ability to call out the Him. King David said in Psalms 55, 16, As for me, I will call upon God. And the Lord shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon will I pray and cry aloud, and he shall hear my voice. There you go, Pastor. He had delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me, for there were many with me. Folks, if you don't know Jesus as your Savior, there are many battles with you. If you do not know Christ as your Savior, your soul is not going to know peace. And there will be a battle inside you because your spirit Believe it or not, knows that it does not want to end up in hell after your body stops and you are in distress. And God will not turn you away or turn his back on you if you want to be saved from an eternity separated from him. God is the one that gave you that spirit that you are. That spirit that God gave you knows It wants to go back to God. Don't let your flesh fight that spirit wanting to come back to God. Don't let it fight. Turn to the Lord, folks. Psalms 18, 2, the Lord is my rock And my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my strength, in whom I will trust, my buckler and the horn of my salvation and my house. power I will call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised so shall I be safe from my enemies The sorrows of death compassed me and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid. That reminds me this morning, Pastor, about friend being afraid of man. I wish I could remember that verse, but I can't Pastor know In my distress I called upon the Lord and cried unto my God, He heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him even into his ears. But know that the Lord has set apart him that is godly for himself. The Lord will hear when I call unto him. If you want to be saved, our Lord will save you. Isaiah 33, 22, for the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver. The Lord is our King, he will save us. That's God's word, folks. That's the truth. That's the truth. Call out to the Lord and be saved, my friend. God gave you the ability to call out. Do you choose to call out to God? Or do you choose not to? Back in our verse in Genesis called the light day and the darkness he called night. He did that just by calling out to them. He can do the same for you as well, my friend. The light, listen to him. And the night listened to him. You see, they had no choice. They had no choice. They had to listen to God. Therefore, one is day And the other is darkness. With this world renaming everything else. I have not heard of day and night getting renamed yet, but I lead a pretty sheltered life nowadays, so I guess there is a possibility that some political party or something will start screaming about that too. Oh we can't have this whole day no more We can't call this night and that's Mark King. No, no, that was a day. Who knows? You know, it's crazy world nowadays, folks. People have done gone crazy Complaining about things that don't matter one eye odor. It don't matter. God called the day day He called the light day and the day the darkness night. Why can't we just leave it the way God called it? I can tell you right now, Brother Doug don't live the way God called it. Me too. The word light used here means illumination or lunar. Luminary. Have you ever seen a pack of light bulbs now? It says so many lumens. Yeah. Lumens. That's how bright it is. The word day means to be hot. Be hot. My wife just got a new oven. Oh, she's so tickled with that new oven. I'm not gonna say nothing. Well it does not touch that, but I'll better go on. Oh I just got a new oven. And when they that and when they turned it on to make sure the burns were working, they got very hot and they glowed. With heat. They glathe with heat. When our Son, that our Lord has blessed us with is present on our side of the world We see the illumination of it, don't we? And we feel the warmth that it gives us when we are outside depending On what time of the year it is my wife smiling at right now. I didn't get to talk about the oven, so I did good. Now, when the earth rotates, we see the sun go down and the darkness appears. Darkness comes out and turns away from the right from the sun. Now, because we're turned from the sun and we don't see the light, does that mean that light is not shining? That light shining ain't it. We just ain't seeing it. Folks, that's how it is when we are born into this world. We're born not seeing that light. But through God, you should see that light, folks, but you call out to God. Call out to God if you want to see that light. Oh, this is fixing getting excited right here. Ha! All of this is God's design, folks. This is how God designed us. And we're going to start seeing more and more of God's design as we get further and further along. Now let me ask you this. Can you see better in the light or in the dark? In the light. In the light. That's right. Without faith in Christ, you are in the dark. Dark and you do not see, and you are stumbling around ignoring the only thing that can give you light. If you want a light The one who created the light will be more than glad to give light to you Don't keep stumbling around in the darkness, folks. When God will open your eyes to the light, I promise you he will. I promise you. 2 Corinthians 4. 1. Therefore, seeing we have this ministry as we have received mercy, we thank not. But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the Word of God deceitfully. But by the manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. But If our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost, in whom the God of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, Should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness has shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God. In the face of Jesus Christ. Now, as we close out our verse here in Genesis, we read, and the evening And the morning were the first day, day one, of this heaven and this earth, folks. Which started the countdown to the final day of this heaven and this earth. For those who think that this heaven and this earth will go on forever, I got scripture for you. Revelation 21:1 says And I saw, and I saw a new heaven And a new earth for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away. That's right, Miss Murray. Passed away. And there was no more seed. All this is going away, folks. All those people can get out there and piggy and complain and scream and do all the things they want to. Ain't gonna matter. Cause all that's going away. Going away. Let's close today with 1 Thessalonians in chapter 5, and we're going to start reading in verse 2. And I've got y'all marked there if you want to turn to it and read along with me This is good right here. First Thessalonians five two. For yourselves know perfectly. That the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. You're not going to know when he's coming, folks. You're not going to know. For when they shall say peace and safety, then sudden destruction cometh upon them as travail. Upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape. But ye brethren Brethren, there's your key word, folks. But ye brethren are not in darkness. That day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light. And the children of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore, let us not sleep as do others, but let us watch and be sober. Be looking for the Lord, folks. For they that sleep, sleep in the night. And they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith And love. And for our helmet, the hope of salvation. Folks, that breastplate of faith is in Jesus Christ. For God hath not appointed us to wrath. Why? Because we believe in the one who has taken the wrath for us. His name is Jesus Christ. He lived the life that we can't. He suffered all the pain and agony and misery and humiliation. That unbelievers are going to experience. Those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ, their sins are paid for. Christ paid for them in full. For God hath not appointed us, believers, to wrath But to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us. That whether we wake or sleep We should live together with him. Wherefore, comfort yourselves together and edify one another, even as also ye do. It's your choice, folks, to believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior. And it's your choice to ignore that. I pray that if you do not know Jesus as your Savior, you will see Christ. Seek God. Call out to God. He has blessed you with the ability to call out to Him. Don't put that ability aside, folks. Call out to God. It'll change your life, I promise you. He changed mine Heavenly Father, we thank you so much, Lord, for each and every person that's come to hear your word, Lord. Father, we pray, Lord, that the saints were edified here today, Lord, and that the laws were pointed to Jesus, Father. Lord, we thank you so much, Father, for all that you do. Lord, for all you do is good, Lord. Your righteousness, all you do is good, Father. We pray, Lord, that there's one here today, Lord, who you are drawn to the cross, Lord. We pray, Lord, that they will heed that draw and they will call out to you, Father. Call out to you, Lord. We know that you do not want anyone to perish, Father, that they all, that each and every person will come to you, Lord. Lord, we thank you so much, Lord. It's just such a blessing. We thank you for this lesson, Lord, you blessed us with here today, Father. Lord, we want to pray for those who are too sick to get out of bed, Lord. The ones that want to be here, Lord. And pray for them, Father. We pray that you will be with them, Lord, and let them know that they're not alone, Lord Father, we pray for the caregivers that are here, Father. We pray for each and everyone, Lord, who cares for these folks, Lord, the way you want them to be cared for, Lord. Thank you for those who come to help us here, Father. And Lord, we just thank you for each and every blessing you bestow upon us, Lord. We pray that each and every person that's here today, Lord, you'll bless them, Lord. And just be with them as well, Lord. Let them know that they're not alone, Father. And that you're here right with them, Lord We love you, Lord. We pray your perfect will be done in our lives, Father. And we pray, Lord, that we fulfill the purpose that you put us here for, Father. We thank you and love you, Lord, and in Jesus' name, Lord, we pray, Amen.
